On June 30, the Shen-Zhong Channel (also known as the Shenzhong Link) began operations, a pivotal milestone in China’s Greater Bay Area. After overcoming seven years of technical challenges, it stretches 24 km, linking Shenzhen and Zhongshan (cities in Guangdong Province) with a sea-crossing link that will include a tunnel that ranks among the largest and widest immersed tunnels globally.
