We continue our coverage of the 2014 Zhuhai Airshow, celebrating the Power of Destruction, with this fantastic Dongfeng EQ2050 6×6 armored fighting vehicle (AFV). The giant machine is based on the famous Dongfeng EQ2025 ‘Chinese Hummer’, and developed mainly for long-range patrol deployments.
We continue our coverage of the 2014 Zhuhai Airshow with more vehicles of death & destruction. Today we bring you the impressive CSK002 Airborne Assault Vehicle (AAV). The CSK002 is based on the famous Dongfeng EQ2025 ‘Chinese Hummer’ and developed for deployment with airborne commando troops.
A new variant of the famous Dongfeng EQ2050 Brave Soldier of the Chinese army. This badass version is equipped with a Type W86 120 millimeter mortar that folds into the back of the vehicle, making for fast deployment and a fast exit. The system will officially debut next week on the Zhuhai Air Show (aka Airshow China), but we cannot wait that long so you see it here first.
A very new and very interesting variant of the famous Dongfeng EQ2050 Brave Soldier for the Chinese army. The base EQ2050 is basically a reverse-engineered AM General Humvee, but this thing is something totally different. It appears to be an armored transport vehicle with a large pickup truck bed. The nose is completely new and much shorter and higher than on the base car.
A bad & beautiful black Dongfeng EQ2050 Brave Soldier, Spotted in China in the Beijing Tuning Street. The EQ2050 is also known as the ‘Chinese Hummer’, which in a way it certainly is. The monster started life as a purely military vehicle but car buyers with the right connections can get one too. This particular car is painted in black and fitted with blue civilian license plates.
The Dongfeng EQ2040H Brave Soldier Concept debuted on the 2014 Beijing Auto Show. The EQ2040H Brave Soldier Concept previews a civilian variant of the infamous Dongfeng EQ2050 Brave Soldier, also known as the ‘Chinese Hummer’, which was developed with American assistance.
The EQ2040H Brave Soldier Concept comes with an interesting new bonnet featuring mean looking headlights and a very modest grille.

Dongfeng has promised us a civilian version of the famous ‘Dongfeng Hummer‘, nicknamed ‘Brave Soldier’, correctly called ‘EQ2050’. This very yellow EQ2050 M3D is a concept car that debuted at the Beijing Auto Show previews just such a car. The rough warrior, the Chinese army uses zillions of EQ2050’s, has been sexed up for the street with softer lines up front and at the back. Up the front the grille, bumper and headlights are all newly designed. Make no mistake however, this M3D is still a big mama…
Christmas is over so we go back to war. This is the newest kill-machine from the Chinese army. It is a 4×4 armored vehicle based on the Dongfeng EQ2050 (thank you America!). The new car seems designed as a hit-and-run fast attack vehicle with a big turret on the roof for a big fat machine gun or rocket-propelled grenade launcher.
Dongfeng is one of China’s biggest vehicle producers. They make cars, cars in joint ventures, trucks and heavy trucks. Dongfeng is also famous for its semi-legal copy of the AMC General Humvee.
