Zhang Xuelin, a farmer from Jinan Province, has invented a flying motorbike. The machine is based around a sturdy China-made ‘Battle’ bike, the airframe is made from PVC and plywood. The ‘motorplane’ weighs 470kg and cost only 2000 yuan to make.

The fuselage is painted in bright red, the wings are more sober in gray. The motorplane is made for everyday use, the wings can fold for an easy ride on the road. Zhang is currently finalizing the design and hoped to make his first flight test before the end of the year. If he does, we will know.
