Mercedes-Benz W215 CL55 AMG is matte black in China

A stealthy Mercedes-Benz CL55 AMG seen on a highway near the great city of Shenzhen in Guangdong Province. The beasty Benz has been wrapped in matte black and was further prettified by matte black alloys and dark head lights.

The W215 Mercedes CL-Class was made from 1999 until 2006, and it was never officially exported to China, so the W215 is a rare thing to see. The CL55 was powered by a supercharged 5.4 liter V8 with 495hp and 700nm. The vehicle has a Brabus badge on the back but I can’t see any obvious changes on the outside, but maybe the engine was tuned up just a bit further…

Weird how it’s on Hong Kong plates, but is LHD.

Yez. Likely a Hong Kong car. Shenzhen sits on the HK-China border and has zillions of left-handers in town. Labels checked…
