Spectacular spy shots of the 2015 Skoda Superb testing in China, completely naked bar for a few tiny strips of camouflage around the grille, the C-pillar, and the rear. The 2015 Skoda Superb will debut early next year, debut in China is scheduled for the April 2015 Shanghai Auto Show. The new Skoda Superb is based on the MQB platform and is design-wise inspired by the Skoda VisionC concept car.
The VisionC concept. The real thing will lose the sharply edges headlights but otherwise looks very similar.
The 2015 Skoda Superb will be manufactured in the Czech Republic and in China by the Shanghai-Volkswagen joint venture that also makes the current Superb. The Chinese car market is fast becoming the largest worldwide for the Skoda brand and that is why the new Suberb is testing here in this early stage.
The 2015 Superb will be a liftback again. In China the Superb will be available with 1.4 TSI, 1.8 TSI, and 2.0 TSI four-cylinder petrol engines. The European market will get a bunch of diesels as well.
Camouflage can’t camouflage sharp kink in C-style, as seen on the VisionC concept.
New headlights, very prominent hood lines, again like on the VisionC.
Czechoslovakia, seriously, are we still living in 80’s?
Seriously Fixed. Thanks!
in 80 years you live. Czechoslovakia has not long ago. The country is divided into Czech and Slovak
Markoff, are you still living in nineties? Czechoslovakia does not exist anymore. Update yourself before you offend the others.
By the way, have you ever heard of camouflaged prototype testing? Skoda did it apparently well if you believed that this is how the car would look like in reality.
Relax, he was just pointing out a mistake in the article that has been since fixed. Both you guys look pretty silly right now. Understanding written text anyone?
This is a good one. Sorry Markoff, I would have pressed “erase comment” if I could. Shame on us (the compatriots obviously did not get the context of his comment). Then shame on Tycho de Feijter. What matters after all are the spy pictures.
Markoff seems to be quite a reasonable guy with a wide overview, judging from his blog. However, given he is of the Slovak origin, he must have suffered from an amnesia since he left the little Eastern European country. And obviously he knows nothing about cars, so who cares about his opinion, right?
bullshit. I saw it in the carfactory, i just have to smile, it’s completely diffrerent! It looks like 60% of the old Superb and 40% of the vision C.
