Two red Ferrari California speedy cars, seen on the rear window of a Mercedes-Benz E-Class L in Beijing. The red sticker-strip is a so called ‘chunlian’, or couplet, a traditional decoration for the Spring Festival time when the Chinese New Year starts. The chunlian expresses happiness and hope for the new year, and is generally believed to bring good luck.
A blue Shanghai Wanfeng Suwei SUV, Spotted in China in the far east of Beijing. The good old Wanfeng was in a reasonable shape, paint a bit faded, bruises and dents all over, but it was completely original and absolutely drivable, just in need of some love and a good cleanup.
The Citroen C3-XR SUV will get a 1.2 liter turbocharged four-cylinder petrol engine under the bonnet. The new unit will have an output of 136hp and 230nm, and it will be mated to a six-speed automatic. The new model will hit the Chinese car market in March.
The Citroen C3-XR is a China-only compact SUV made by the Dongfeng-PSA joint venture. It was launched in late 2014. Price starts at 108.800 yuan and ends at 171.800 yuan. Current engines are a 117hp 1.6 and a 167hp 1.6 turbo. The new 1.2 turbo will be positioned in between.
A beautiful red Buick Sail sedan, Spotted in China in the eastern suburbs of Beijing. The old Sail was in a very good shape, and it is indeed the best Sail sedan I have ever seen. Paintwork was clean, nothing broken and no rust, everything original or period original, and she wears white license plates!
Citroen has released an official teaser of the new Citroen C6 for China. Citroen also said they will make an ‘announcement’ on the C6 during the Geneva Motor Show that starts next week. However, the C6 will not debut in Geneva, that will happen instead on the Beijing Auto Show in late April.
A Cadillac CT6 sedan, seen inside a fish tank in the Xintiandi shopping area in the great city of Shanghai. The ‘Lac stands on white sand, painted in white with black windows. The water surrounds the vehicle by about a meter on top and half a meter on each side. There seem to be some 30 large gold fish, but they do not really interact with the vehicle.
