A very happy Suzuki Swift, Spotted in China in the Fengtai District in Beijing. The shady Suuz’ is is wrapped in an eye smoothing matte Pink wrap, and further sexed up with black windows, black window frames, darkened headlights, and sporty matte black five-twin spoke alloys.
The Suzuki Swift Sport has been launched on the China car market. Sadly & badly it is imported from Japan and thus very expensive. Price starts at 178.800 yuan and ends at 188.000 yuan. For comparison, price for the standard Swift, that is made in China by the Chang’an-Suzuki joint venture, ranges from 59.800 to 91.800 yuan. Spy shots of the brand new Suzuki Swift Sport testing in China, it will debut on the Guangzhou Auto Show later this week and it will be launched on the China car market in December. The Swift Sport comes with an aggressive grille and sporty alloys.
Suzuki has officially released the first photos and information on the Suzuki Swift 20th Anniversary Edition. It will be launched on China car market late this month, price starts at 72.800 yuan and ends at 82.800 yuan. The Suzuki Swift 20th Anniversary Edition celebrates the 20th birthday of the Chang’an-Suzuki joint venture that started making Suzuki’s in China in June 1993.
A very hip Suzuki Swift seen in the Sanlitun embassy district in Beijing. The vehicle is prettified by a body kit, a straight-standing wing at the back, a cartoon-wrap on the bonnet & the mirrors & the rear wing & that body kit & that wing, a roof rack, and best of all: Pink-painted alloys. The paint looked very fresh, as if it was done a day ago. That day was a rainy one, I hope the paint was dry.
The Suzuki Swift is made in China by the Chang’an-Suzuki joint venture. Price starts at 59.800 yuan and ends at 91.800 yuan. Earlier on we met some other Swifty Swifts: Smift, WRX STi, and matte orange.
The very first spy shots of the upcoming Suzuki Swift 20th Anniversary Edition for the Chinese car market. The sporty special edition celebrates the 20th birthday of the Chang’an-Suzuki joint venture that started making the second generation Suzuki Alto in June 1993.
A Suzuki Swift dressed like a first generation Subaru Impreza WRX. Painted in ‘World Rally Blue‘, Subaru-style gold painted alloys, a huge hood scoop and even the front spoiler is similar. Only the head lights are out of style but altogether a great idea. Seen on the China International Auto Parts Expo (CIAPE) in Beijing. The Suzuki Swift is made in China by the Chang’an-Suzuki joint venture, just last week we met a fine matte orange example.
Here we have a very pretty matte orange Suzuki Swift, seen by me in the great city of Dalian in Liaoning Province. The wrap is kinda creative, taking the bumpers and mirrors, but leaving the front-window frame and roof in black. The sides of the roof however, are orange again. Great work with an eye for detail, check the Suzuki logo on the grille.
Suzuki has applied for patent on the Swift sedan for the Chinese car market, which means it is very likely the model will be launched on the Chinese auto market. The Suzuki Swift sedan is currently only sold in India where it is made by Maruti-Suzuki and sold as the ‘Swift DZire‘ (link is loud). The Suzuki Swift hatchback is made in China by the Chang’an-Suzuki joint venture.
The new Suzuki Swift has been seen testing in China. The current Swift is made by the Chan’an-Suzuki joint venture. The car in the spy shot however does nog have the jv’s logo on the back, just ‘Suzuki’. This likely means this Swift is a made-in-Japan example brought to China for some road testing, and not a made-in-China. This again means China will have to wait a little longer for the new Swift to arrive at the dealers.
