Dianyue is a new sub-brand from the Dongfeng-Yueda-Kia joint venture. Dianyue will make cheap EV’s for the masses. Their first car, code named E30, is based on the old Kia Cerato. The Dianyue E30 will debut at the Beijing Auto Show as a concept, it will be listed on the Chinese car market in 2013.

Logo loox kinda cool. Power comes from a ‘YCS90-4’ electric motor developed by a Chinese company called ‘Tianjin Qingyuan Electric Vehicles Corporation’. Power is a tiny 30kw which means this Dianyue will never be very fast, at all. No info yet on batteries or charging, we’ll jeep ya’ posted.

This Dianyue E30 should not be confused with the Chang’an E30, which is also a small EV.
