Spotted in China: Changfeng Liebao fire command vehicle

Here we have a Changfeng Liebao fire command vehicle, seen in an extremely far away suburb of Beijing. The vehicle belonged to the local fire department but was apparently not on duty that day. The Changfeng Liebao was based on the 1991 Mitsubishi Pajero and made under license by the Changfeng Motors Corporation.

The fire command vehicle was properly painted in red and equipped with large warning-light bar on the roof. The windows were blacked-out, which is kinda strange for a emergence-response vehicle. The fire commander probably needs some privacy!, with all those fires going on…

Big bull bar will scare the fire out! The Changfeng Liebao was available with a 2.2 four-cylinder of a 3.2 V6, both sourced from Mitsubishi. The Liebao was very popular with the Chinese army, the police, and other government services. Over 80% of all cars produced went straight to the State. Production of the Liebao continued all the way until last year. Earlier on we met an extremely special Liebao parade car and an army-style second hander.
