A ferocious Ferrari 512 TR supercar, Spotted in China in the great city of Chongqing by a friend of Reader Colin, thank you very much for the pictures! A very special spot indeed because this is the very first 512 TR we have ever seen in China. It is an interesting car as well, with the secondary lights covered in black.
The Ferrari 512 TR was basically a souped up version of the Ferrari Testarossa. The 512 TR was manufactured from 1991 until 1994, producing an impressive 2261 units. Power comes from a screaming 4.9 liter V12 engine with 428hp and 375nm, good for a 314km/h top speed and 0-100 is gone in 4.9 seconds. The 512 TR was never officially exported to China so how this lone example ended up in Chongqing is unknown. Interestingly, the license plates appear to be period, indicating this Ferrari arrived a long time ago… May she stay for a long time more!
just HOW is that thing still running..?!?! doesn’t look like a garage queen either. must be a very dedicated owner.
