Geely’s factories are kicking out the very first Emgrand EC825’s. The production model will be on the Beijing Auto Show starting end of April. Geely showed the EC825 on several autoshows, the earliest prototype was called Geely EC1. Than later Geely thought it nice to have some more brandnames around and the car became the Emgrand EC825.
The car stayed very close to the prototype which is good. Dream today and do it tomorrow! Geely a bit mad off course with all those funny names but it is surely not afraid to try.
The EC825 will cost in somewhere in between 120.000 and 180.000 rmb, a highly contested area of the market so it will need its big nose to shove all those Volkswagens away.
Interior loox veru well done, shame about that old fahioned keyhole, even cheap BYD’s have keyless entry these days. A bit confusing though those dark wooden-look panels together with these aluminium-lookers. But why not?
