Spy Shots: BYD 6B = BYD Si Rui
The first spy shots from the BYD 6B without camouflage. It will be called BYD Si Rui when it hits the Chinese market next year. The Si Rui will be positioned above the current BYD F6 just like the new remote controlled BYD Su Rui has been positioned above the BYD F3. Thw Si Rui so should be seen as an extra luxurious version of the F6, whether it also gets remote control is yet unsure, but it seems likely it will.
Power will come from a 1.5 turbo with 154hp and 240nm, mated to a 6-speed manual or 6-speed DCT. This very same engine is also available in the Su Rui. BYD apparently thinks 154hp is enough for every car, while the Si Rui is really a much bigger vehicle than the Su Rui, so it likely won’t be very fast. Fortunately the Si Rui loox all right, BYD’s design seems to be improving a lot lately, finally moving away from the old copy-paste days. May this continue!
