Back in July I went to the Hongqi Factory Museum in Changchun, a beautiful place with beautiful cars. See Part 1 with intro here and Part 2 here. The museum usually has 16-20 cars in display. Only six are permanently displayed and the other cars rotate. Today we take a look at what I didn’t see.
Hongqi, or Red Flag, is China’s oldest and most famous car brand. It is owned by First Auto Works, or FAW. Hongqi was founded in 1958. Today the brand makes two production cars: the Hongqi L5 and the Hongqi H7.

And there goes the next Lamborghini Aventador in China. They just keep crashing lately: Tiguan, burned, rain, rain, trash cart, woman, and with a taxi. The latest crash happened in the great city of Kunming in Yunnan Province, where an Aventador crashed into a bus.

Electric cars do not really need a big grille. Some automakers fit a fake grille because they feel a car needs a grille, no matter what. Other automakers fit an enormous grille because they think that looks techy in Toyota style. One of those automakers in China’s Haima. They will soon launch the new @3, a small electric sedan, with the biggest grille we have seen in ages, and painted in blue.

This is the new Venucia T90 for China, the new flagship of the Venucia brand and it is the production version of the 2015 Venucia Vow concept. The T90 has daring lines and style, a crossover SUV coupe that doesn’t easily fit into a single segment. Sales will start in late November.

The new Peugeot 308 sedan has been launched on the Chinese auto market, and it has become quite a beautiful car, especially in this fiery red color. Price starts at 99.700 yuan and ends at 159.700 yuan. The Peugeot 308 is a China-only compact sedan manufactured by the Dongfeng-PSA joint venture.

The new Honda Avancier SUV has been launched on the Chinese car market. Price starts at 269.800 yuan and ends at 328.900 yuan. The Avancier is a sporty five-seat SUV, developed especially for China and made locally by the Guangzhou-Honda joint venture.

Volkswagen China has released the first official photos of the new Teramont SUV, on the same day the Atlas SUV debuted in the United States. The Teramont and the Atlas are twins, differing only on details and engines. The Teramont is made in China by the Shanghai-Volkswagen joint venture and the Atlas is made in the U.S. for the North American market.

A black and beautiful Mercedes-Benz S600 Pullman stretched limousine, Spotted in China near the Goldenport race track in Beijing. The big Benz was in very good shape and basically looked like new. Paint and shine were perfect and everything was original, down until the optional AMG alloys.

The new Volkswagen Touran has been launched on the Chinese car market, but as expected the old one will soldier on and will re-launch at year’s end. Volkswagen didn’t change anything about the looks bar for the trendy new alloys.

The Peugeot 301 sedan will receive a facelift in China. Most eye catching are the new grille and lights, with a design similar to the Peugeot 308 sedan. Other changes include the front bumper and rear lights. The facelifted Peugeot 301 will debut on the Guangzhou Auto Show in November and launch on the Chinese auto market soon thereafter.
