Exlantix is a premium new energy vehicle series under the Chery-owned Exeed brand. It was launched in China in April last year. However, the international launch of the new series happened at the Geneva Motor Show in Doha. Currently, Exlantix sells a single model in China, the ES sedan. Soon, the seconds Exlantix’s model will enter the market. It is the ET SUV.

Exlantix ET mass-production

The trial production of the Exeed Exlantix ET electric SUV started in September last year. The first batch of these SUVs was manufactured to obtain the Chinese homologation. According to the information from Chery, it faced some challenges with setting up the production line because the Exlantix ET is an electric car that sits on the brand-new E0X architecture.

After the trial production in September 2023, Exeed Exlantix ET applied for the sales license in October. In January this year, Exeed filed for some entry-trim levels of this SUV, finishing these bureaucratic issues. So, Exeed was finally ready to start the mass production of the Exlantix ET.

And the mass production of the Exlantix ET has finally started on January 19 in Chery’s plant in Wuhu, China. The same factory assembles the Exlantix ES and Luxeed S7 from Chery and Huawei. According to Exeed, Exlantix ET will start sales in China in Q1 2024. This year, it will also enter some overseas markets.
