Chengdu Dayun Automobile, or Dayun Auto for short, is a large Chinese truck maker, making all sorts of trucks and tractors under the Dayun Truck brand name, and they also make motorcycles under the Dayun and Dayang brands. Apparently they weren’t busy enough with all of that; they will soon launch their first passenger car, branded Dayun and know only by its designation CGC6450FPD28E.
The new Weichai Auto Yingzhi G5 will launch on the Chinese car market later this month, a bit delayed as it was originally scheduled for launch in early September. Weichai Auto calls the G5 an “SUV” but that is a little bit misleading because it is really a cross-version of the Yingzhi 737 mini MPV. They didn’t even change that much; black plastic around the wheels, side bars, and a skid pad under the bumper.

We have seen the touch screens in Chinese cars getting bigger and bigger, but this one beats all, seen on Spy Shots of the facelifted Weichai Auto Yingzhi G3 in China. The screen appears to be at least 20 inch, bigger than the 18 inch screen in the Tesla Model S.
The brand new Weichai Auto Yingzhi 737 mini MPV has been launched on the Chinese car market, and the super sonic 16-inch touch screen is for real! It is standard on the three top-spec variants of the 737, the cheapest of which is called the ‘Yingzhi 737 Internet Edition’. On the first photo the screen in action on that internet, showing, somewhat fuzzily, a car website with a photo of the MG GS SUV. But best of all is the classic cigarette lighter located right under the screen. Happily, some things never change.
