Mercedes-Maybach will launch a new sedan-SUV in China on April 24, one day before the start of the 2018 Beijing Auto Show. The new car is officially still a concept, but the production version, expected in 2020, won’t differ very much.
This is the new Aiways U5 Ion, a concept car previewing an electric SUV that will hit the Chinese car market in 2019. The company says the design of the production car won’t change a bit, bar for the addition of real-life necessities like mirrors.
The new Jeep Grand Commander has been launched on the Chinese car market. Price starts at 279.800 yuan and ends at 409.800 yuan ($44.600 – 65,000). The Grand Commander is a seven-seat SUV that will only be marketed in China, where there is a lot of demand for seven seat cars.
The Buick Enspire has been unveiled in China. The Enspire is an electric concept car previewing an upcoming crossover SUV coupe. The Enspire was designed in China but the eventual production version will be sold globally.

The best photos so far of the FAW Junpai D80, a new compact SUV set to debut on next week’s 2018 Beijing Auto Show. The Junpai D80, formerly known by its code name T068, will hit the Chinese auto market in H2.
The very first photos of the China-made variant of the Jaguar E-Pace SUV, set to compete with the BMW X1, Mercedes-Benz GLA, and the upcoming Volvo XC40. The E-Pace will debut on April 23, two days before the start if the 2018 Beijing Auto Show.
This white beast is the new Haval H6 Blue Label. The new Haval H6 Red Label was unveiled earlier on. The new H6 is the successor of the immensely popular best selling current Haval H6. The current H6 however will not completely die, the low-end versions will continue as a budged alternative. There is more about the new H6: it is almost exactly the same car as the WEY 02.
Chinese automaker Haima will bring a new concept suv to the Shanghai Auto Show. Is has all the crazywazy thingies of a concept but sizewise it loox bigger than the Haima 7 SUV that was listed in July last year. The concept might be the first sign of a second SUV in Haima’s line up.
BYD released two pictures of the new S6 SUV and it loox exactly like the spy shots we saw earlier. BYD did its best to give the front some BYDness but it still has a lot of the last gen Lexus RX in the lines. No surprise of course, BYD loves Toyota. Hope they didn’t copy those floor mats and acceleration issues.
